Short Film: Do It
I enjoy seeing new work from indie film directors. So, I liked being able to watch this short film from director, Steve Petersen. It’s a feverish glimpse into the conspiracy theories of a mentally ill man, Bernie. He’s sick of all the crime, drugs, and prostitution he sees in his city, and he wants to do something about it. His target—the Mayor of Los Angeles. Bernie is pretty convinced that the Mayor is the source of all the city’s woes, and he daydreams about violently taking him out. But, sometimes these dreams seem a little too real. The film stars stars Russ Kingston, who you may remember from another short film I discussed, Guillotine Guys. And, he really captures the essence of this bitter, damaged man. It’s an intense ride. And, the film really captures the manic energy of a disturbed citizen. So, take a few minutes and check it out.
